Dreamingawake contains the “[u]nedited (mostly) musings of a professional editor, sleep-deprived mother, political junkie, and wannabe foodie.” The writing is top notch, and there are great food porn pictures. Because the author is a professional editor you won't find as many misspellings and incorrect verb tenses as you do here. Should make it easier on the eyes. Come on, do it now before you forget.

Mark, thanks for the kind words and plug--let's hope it generates some traffic. Blogging is new to me (writing them, not reading them) and I'm trying to be in writer mode and leave the anal editor side of me out of it as much as possible, but old habits are hard to break....
I noticed today that the only readers who have commented on the blog so far are of the male persuasion, which is certainly appreciated, but I'd love to get some feedback from women readers too. Have you noticed a similar imbalance when reading comments to your blog?
I haven't noticed any vast difference in comments by gender, although a lot of people who do comment who I don't necessarily know have gender neutral handles. I know more women read this thing than post here though so maybe the men do post more. I think you can download some sort of stat counter that can tell you all kinds of things about who's reading. I've been too lazy to put it in, plus I'd find it hard to rail against surveillance if I were spying on my readers. ;-)
